I wonder what the torque line sounds like, running old school numbers from the 70s like that. Still must dig right in like no other...chug it down to diesel range. New design conquering flow problems. Price seems steep, but ya never know until trying.

        I want this one...

We give you more than just an engine — but engineering at its finest. And those who drive it, know it. The fanatics. The families. The thrill riders. The joy riders. And everyone in between. No matter who we serve, we share a genuine passion that unites us all on these streets, strips, or any stretch of road.

I like that one too, Scott. Beats the ZZ383 that's in Earl.

Be glad you got a new 350 when you did. GM sold off their tooling for the old school blocks.

I have been eyeballing this engine for a while in Jegs. Would make a great starter for a new DW car (just thinking out loud here). And is based on an LSX block, so good for around 2000 HP (try that in your 383 and see if you can count the pieces).
Why think when you can be doing something fruitful?

At that point does it matter as the rest of the drivetrain and car has silly money in it to handle and get that type power to the ground without die'n a quick death.

Sure. But, you would spend $20 grand in the drivetrain alone behind your $6000 crate motor with 35 lbs of boost. Plus, another $25k in suspension and safety equipment to handle that power and attempt to get it to the ground.

One of the kids I help in derbys bought a $6300 Baldwin motor just for derby...
After he won his first ever derby he got out leaving his motor running.. They told him to shut off.. Then 15 min- haf hr he gets in, fires up and drives out.. It was broken in on the stand before it was shipped..

Kidding right?? You can bolt a TH400 to a LS motor and a built 9" isn't that much money. I'd say more like $5000 for the drivetrain and about the same in suspension work.
