$20K is realistic except that it isn't an orginal duece is it? I am wondering what 'virgin' steel is? And if they have to use language like that in thier marketing then they are covering up some deficiencies. Beware when they throw pixie dust up as a feature.
Do you get an original duece title?

This is a comparison to be made by the guys that don't do the work themselves. If you're going to pay a body shop to repair a rust old shell you paid $8500 for in the first place, $20k for a new one probably makes sense. Last I heard, most body shops don't want to touch old cars at all, and the ones that do start at $4k for a basic repaint with little if any body work required before spraying.

How long before they give Gas Monkey and some other "car shows" one for free to build and promote their product....

I got my GMC painted for about a 1/3 of that. There are shops here that will do complete repaints taking the car apart fixing all the body work and put it back together and line everything up for around $2500.

I guess all car guys should move to the SW. Marco got his seats in the fairlane wagon done for $500 near Whitman, can't touch those prices around here. Friend near Chicago I went to HS with is turning away paint and body jobs at $8k and up, that's with some panel replacement, painted in a booth, but $8K? yea - these guys are lining up to pay him that much, he's out at least 18 months.

ya, but ask anyone with a ford steel body, what they spent in body work.. never mind buying the body.. just the body work.. the buy in and body work can = or surpass that 20k . My dad did one for a club member. in 97 and the bill was over 11k then..
