  • Fuelie Engine Sells for $38,500 at BJ

'Display engines are becoming more popular with collectors who want automobilia beyond gas pumps, racing posters and ceramic signs to enhance a garage.'

    I'll say.......at $38,500
Although I'd like to have it in my hobby room.....amongst the other stuff

A '64 Corvette fuelie display engine from the Floyd Garrett collection will be sold at the 2014 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction. While historic, it's unlikely to bring the same price as last year's ZL1 clone.

I have engine parts all over the house but for some reason I don't think it's the same...

          that is believable for sure.

first thing learned looking for hot rod parts was double hump heads, or camel hump, and rochester...

          one of those immortal histories.

to be more serious, the 2 valve math of gm, reverberated the world for decades, as a standard, and is still used today, beyond classic.

I am wondering if there is a '57 Corvette owner who needs a date coded fuelie to complete his resto and he bought this one.

              But did anyone see it?

              With the wrongful death of Speed, Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale 2014 auction was Fox's "Red-headed stepchild" . . . programming hours slashed . . . shuttled all over several different channels, including . . . National Geographic (there's a logical tie-in).

Plainly, if the numbers on the Hagerty "Fantasy Bid" were any indication, all of chaos and confusion hurt viewership. I'd love to see the year-to-year ratings data on this.

I was just talking to a friend about picking up some "room accents" at the Long Beach Swap. I used to have a tunnel ram with 660s on it but no more. Now I just have this:

Man you nailed it!.......WTF was all this channel switching anyway?

My son comes over and we're settled in, drinking some beers...........and all we get is the salon collection.

Saw Hendrick pay $675,000 for a '14 Z28........and hell he owns a dealership.

Found it by accident on Saturday. Had to use the search engine to record Sunday's show. They said they had five days of live TV coverage. Probably on five channels.

I managed to watch all but 2 hours. The channel switching thing was total BS (and I don't mean BangShifty). BJ needs to go shopping for a network that gives a damn, it's obvious that FOX doesn't anymore.
Just groovin' to my own tune.
