well it's a few things..
1) people doing, instead of talking about it...
2) making some outcast.. because some don't agree with them.. and sadly like highschool,, forums are very "clicky" and members can't think for themselves..
3) with face book... love it or hate it.. you can know when and where every local and not so local car event/cruise will be.. here no one on the b/s staff post anything in the events area.. it will get posted on front page and buried in a day..Comment

I have not been here much due to the format change. It's taking a while to get used to the new layout. What used to be easy now leaves me scratching my head. It's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.Comment

I'm still getting used to the change, I don't get used to changes easily - the PM situation is especially confusing.
Mostly - it's been work - I've worked more unpaid overtime since the beginning of March than I have my entire career. It's getting very very old - I still come here to unwind. Been too tired after trying to do everything else to work much on the car. There's always something new to learn.Comment

unpaid overtiem blows. I'll do weeks at a time turning 12's. I spend less, but still being salary sucks sometimes....sometimes.If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark DonohueComment

I kinda lost patience with the new format, when something was easy and now it's a drag or in some cases simply won't work, that happens. I'd like to post in Projects what's going on around here, but I figure I'm wanting to fix what became of the old ones first, maybe after how many hours that takes I'll have it down again. I'll have to "get to that", later. The Challenger, Camaro and a couple other things all make slow but steady progress.
You guys who complain about not being able to say whatever you want, since you're still here after many thousands of posts under various screen names, what's the problem? I seem to remember that other (now defunct) site where you had (and used) that freedom and after awhile you were practically the only ones left there.
Re: Clique-ishness, I have seen some amazing guys come on and seem to get ignored...all have to understand, it's a little weird, making connections on a forum. You kinda have to give it what you wish and take from it what you find. I myself am guilty of not being friendly enough sometimes, all my buddies know I'm an ass but my best ones know that really I'm just "out there" a little...
Meanwhile, most anyone who takes the trouble to get on here and yak, usually does have something interesting to say. Joe's level head, Dan's wisdom, etc. etc. I don't know what I'd do without my daily dose of Barry-isms...
