Umm... if you're thinking of making the chassis out of magnesium...

I recall a cute little story told to me by an old USAF Chief Master Sergeant about a certain large aircraft with magnesium landing gear...

It blew a tire on landing, the gear touched the runway, and the resulting magnesium fire burned a hole 5 feet wide vertically all the way up through the aircraft.

You sure you want to surround rocket fuels with magnesium?
Yes, I'm a CarJunkie... How many times would YOU rebuild the same engine before getting a crate motor?

I do know that desiging a "new" rocket motor, even with blow down fuel systems, is a hardware eater. Why not ask Elon for a spare?

Oddly, Elon Musk and The Bullet Team are borrowing from the same Apollo era injector technology.

Magnesium is just one of several options, although the Douglas D-558-2 Skyrocket (the first Mach 2 airplane) was magnesium.

formula 1 still uses magnesium. the magnesium cast as a heavy slob is of course as bad as a 70's gm block at holding a crank..

          its different today.
just like steel for manufactures that are enough...and alot of metals.

not that I know anything..but thermite by accident. I follow projects and stay quiet, smallest guy here.
