And I wont slide off these and onto the console when I autocross like my current seats.

Another good seat that's manual but has a lot of adjustment - and are usually cloth - are Focus seats. The driver side has an adjustment "crank" in front that moves the whole seat up and down (can be real handy when retrofiting a car seat into a truck)
along with lumbar adjustment, and the standard fore and aft adjustment and recline. They are also light and pretty well bolstered.
I liked the seats in my 2001 focus, had a spare set but sold them after selling the car. There's always something new to learn.Comment

Again, not to threadjack, but the seats on my Pontiac Montana are really comfy. That might be a better option for a full size truck.Formerly Shannon (aka: HillbillySailor). 2549 posts.Comment

Yannick and I were talking possible plans for this car. From suspension ideas that came from checking out the pics of Roy Mayne's 65 Impala Nascar to possible engine ideas and power targets. A new idea popped yesterday that included the words "twin turbos" and "free turbos". Nothing definite yet. I need funding from the Monte Carlo sale. But, I'm actually excited about will be coming for this car in 2012.BS'er formally known as Rebeldryver

Please keep us (or at least me pretty please) in the loop about the suspension. I'm working on the paper version of redesigning mine for a "proper" camber curve and near 0 scrub radius. Is your car a 5x5in or a 5x4.75in bolt pattern? How big of a tire are you planning on trying to fit up front?Originally posted by Scott Liggett View PostYannick and I were talking possible plans for this car. It's 5x4.75. Not sure on tire size up front, but thinking in the 275 to 285, 17 or 18's. Going for bigger than 305/18's out back.BS'er formally known as Rebeldryver

Since I don't have the measurements on your suspension, this might be a useable idea. In trying to get the instant center on the inboard side of the wheel and generate a negative camber curve, I looked into getting much taller spindles. The C5/6 Vette spindles are ~13in tall between the ball joints and will clear a 17x8.5in wheels (no smaller or it hits the UBJ it looks like) On the Riviera with control arms optimized for the C5's 10mm scrub radius, that generates ~0.5in of negative camber per inch of compression. For you, that would keep your 5x4.75in bolt pattern. I'm looking at using these: http://www.colemanracing.com/Spindle...-5--P4710.aspx to keep the 5x5in since they use the same bearings as my stock spindles and would allow me to play with the spindle height. Can you speak to what Yannick's ideas are?Originally posted by Scott Liggett View PostIt's 5x4.75. Not sure on tire size up front, but thinking in the 275 to 285, 17 or 18's.
