    Yup, for the 56
twin turbo small block to much $$$.(15-20K)

SO Big CI, i only want to make 1.15HP/CI so its a mild build. Carbureted.

I need every thing, so craigs list, racing junk etc, post what u see.

Aluminum Trick Flow block would be a dream.
    Crank, steel rods
Big tube headers, fender well OK

    T&G shaft rockers
    Single Carb Manifold, Dominator
    Built Turbo 350, gear vendors
    Aluminum Oil Pan

I figure, I have till Dec to get the parts together, so Please Help.

TH400 would be a lot better behind that many cubes?

I will keep an ear out for you - there's a guy at work that's got a lot of BBC parts around - I'll see if he has any blocks capable of those sorts of cubes. Would a bow tie block be sufficient?
There's always something new to learn.

I'd use a 475 out of a short bus or motorhome.. Motorhome will probably have less miles, straight cut gears in most (all?) ... Just take the big funky e-brake off and add a short shaft housing...

The 632 that blueprint has for sale seems like your best bet for this car, even if you only grab the short block.

As for the transmission I wonder if a built 4l80e would line up price wise with a built TH350 or TH400 with a gear vendors.

I will second this one. 815 hp for $11,500 with a warranty. Of course, I am prejudiced.

                  Fail!

I'm not saying you shouldn't build what you want (you should) . . . But it doesn't cost that much to make decent power with turbos.

The current issue of Car Craft has a Jeff Smith article about building a big-inch BBC . . . .

Bob I know you won't want to hear it, but a turbo LS based combo can be had for relatively cheap price compared to a full build big block. But 500+ci screaming at 6k+ rpms is attention grabbing.
