Well, got my dad's car back on the road again after replacing both cooling fan motors,Rear coil springs and checking out the rear calipers. Both cooling fan motors were so rotted out we got the replacements from Amazon. I checked them out before the install and they work like little mini hurricanes.
The primary fan motor will not kick on.
I've tried different relays,checked fuses, coolant temp sensors, new cylinder head temp gauge sensor{The gauge works now and is not in the cold anymore and came out super easy}. I've read i don't know how many forums and get different answers everything from AC Head pressure which is reading correctly to an issue with the fuse box which I've checked.I pulled the ECT and then both fans turn on and the check engine light goes on.
Secondary fan kicks on at 225 and shuts down at 215. The primary from what i read in the books should go on first
I checked the PCM wiring and that all checks out too, along with the grounds and that checks good too.
At this point I thinking the PCM after 20 years of kicking the fan on and off it's gone weird.
Does anyone else got an idea of what else I can check out?
