    Re: RPM AirGap Spacer Q

I just installed a Summit aluminum two inch open spacer, pig of a job when you?re too lazy to disconnect the fuel lines and brake booster
    hose.
Speed Demons are heavy using one hand while the other threads in the longer studs.
I got away with keeping my K/N five inch filter on a K/N filter bottom dropped one and a quarter inches.............just, had to flatten out the wing nut on top.
I checked the spce on top of the filter to three inch cowl with kid?s plastecine.
Started it up and it idled like nothing was changed, then off to the "test track".
The bloody thing fair flew up to 100mph as I left the onramp and joined the freeway.
    This change stays.
    ;D

Does your Airgap have the plenum divider cut down. A spacer always help in that situation. Totally bitchin that is runs great. Nothing better than mashing the gas and the car pulling like a freight train. Looks like you got around the Monte Carlo bar without any problems.

        Re: RPM AirGap Spacer Q

The divider on my Airgap is not cut down.
After seeing the CJTV video explaing the benefits I went
to a one inch open spacer, before I had a four holer which
        was not good at all.
With this two incher the motor seems to be much smoother
        as the revs go up.
I?m going to get a three inch filter element to let the K/N filter lid do it?s job,
too close to the hood as it is.

I can?t wait to go out again, another "test run" you know. ;D
At the moment the roads here are very wet and slippery,
        gotta be careful.

WOW Malc that worked out great, which intake do you have? The RPM airgaps have the divider milled down a little, yours doesn't, so I guess your running the performer airgap(2601)?. Nice to see it worked out for you.

Has anyone used this 1" HVH ST4150-4 spacer on a SBC Performer RPM AirGap ? This one is designed specifically for the RPM AirGap, so I wondering if it will make a noticably difference for the $?

The spacers had maybe 5-7 hp on the top end of the rev. Maybe you could ten horsepower. On a street car, thats not even noticeable.
