  • E85 carb question

Do holley e85 metering plates use the same style jets as a gas metering plate, or are they like the alcohol style jets?
I'm talking about the green quick fuel ones.

From the pictures they look like gas style jets but I can't tell 100%

Jets are Jets, the alcohol ones just have WAY bigger holes drilled in them......It's the channels in the metering blocks that I'd worry about........

Why not? Because Eric and Mark Sullens can make a carb run better than the Quick Fuel carbs. Mark is also known as Drag Chevette online and in forums. Those two are very knowledgeable, and they can improve on any of the E85 carbs.

No, gas jets are 1/4X32 thread, and alcohol jets are 5/16X32 thread.

Now where did you Google that? Plus jets are not jets, but because you say they are we will let you find out that its not only the threads that seperate them. Carb guys LMAO

Thanks for the clarification. Pretty sure Eric would rework a carb too, but Mark doesnt manufacture them.

There might be a difference with methanol and ethanol jets, I havent run a methanol carb so I havent changed the jets in one. Gas jets will work with E85 provided they are large enough to flow the fuel needed.
