High flow fuel filter questions

I am looking to make a decent horsepower upgrade in the near future and have a few questions about fuel filters. I am installing a Quick Fuel electric pump rated at 175 gph on a carbed engine. I was planning on running one high flow fuel filter but then I ran across a drawing by Holley that showed two filters run in parallel. Is there a preferred set up? If you go with the dual filters would each filter need to be rated for the flow rate or would it be combined?
