Well up in the air about what front tires to run on my super street Chevy II. I have a new pair of 26" Hoosiers but I wasn't sure about durability on long street trips such as drag week

I went 100 miles on the illegal 25X15 ET front drag race only tires. It really did not feel good in the rain. I ordered the Protrac Firestone 5.60-15 bias tires from Coker. Last time I ran these tires, before every dealer in the country quit getting them, they were great.

275/40/18's on an 18x9" wheel. Drove and raced on those in '05-'07. Now I swap front tires too; M&H 4.50/26-17 for the track.Drag Week 2006 & 2012 - Winner Street Race Big Block Naturally Aspirated - R/U 2007 Broke DW '05 and Drag Weekend '15 Coincidence?

in that goofy feeling should go away... over the years I found that a bias
likes a touch more toe in over the radials

The MT ET front that I removed is also bias ply.
These new 5.60-15 tires are taller and narrower in tread. I slung it through some turns and had to give it a lot of wheel to make the car turn. They feel fine going straight. They survived a 100 miles of driving on four lanes, winding two lanes, and Roanoke, VA downtown traffic.
