Dad's 2019 ride is sold...

Dad had been toying with the idea of selling the C10 for the better part of two years. Finally gave me the green light to list it for him yesterday afternoon. By 6:30am as I got ready for work, I was in communication with a guy from Missouri who was already up this way buying another car. Turns out, he wants to double down and take two back home with him.

I gave him dad's number and they apparently made a deal while I was at work. Won't even get to say goodbye!

As for what's next, Idunno. I am a Ford guy and he sort of is too, so...maybe an F100/Crown Vic combo. We both like those.

I got a 64 f100 with a crown-vic swap that needs finishing. Its got the cv drivetrain out of a police car with an explorer rear end.

Predictably, he's having a ton of seller's remorse. As soon as the truck got loaded on the flatbed it started to set in.

He doesn't realize that by freeing up garage space, some new and cool toy can go there!

Dad mentioned that. He said everyone in the neighborhood was stopping to ask where it was headed to, including former neighbors of ours whose parents now live down the road.
