    New England/Northeast caravan thread

I'm in Rhode Island...anyone up for caravanning down to Cocoa Beach? My (tentative) route is hitting I-84 in CT, taking that through New York and into PA, then US 209 to state highway 33, pick up US 22 near Easton and Bethlehem, I-78 west to Harrisburg to pick up I-81. Take 81 into Virginia, pick up I-77 south near Wytheville, follow that through the Carolinas until picking up I-26 east in Columbia. Follow that about 50 miles to I-95, take 95 the rest of the way to Cocoa Beach. Not sure when I'm leaving yet, hopefully early Thursday.

I'll be coming straight down 77. I'm planning on hooking up with some people around Wytheville and then stopping for the night down the road somewhere. Bob (1956NY150) is one that I'm planning on meeting up with.

Well...might see you around Virginia, then. I'll have a friend riding with me, might be running with Joe & Lori Cataudella from upstate NY (their first Long Haul was last year).

      PS--Nice avatar. :D

Bob lives just outside of Syracuse so maybe they''ll be running together. What day are you leaving? I'm heading out from Cleveland early Thursday morning.

I will be running south on an undetermined route in an undetermined car from a yet to be determined day, hows that? I do know that I will be headed south in June in a mustang. Both of mine are in major separate components. How long do I have?

Train would be fun, but will be a lot cheaper to drive!!

For everybody coming down I-81 to I-77, we live right off I-77. Vic's shop is in sight of the interstate. You will be coming right by Fancy Gap. Don't know yet when we will be leaving, but maybe we can hook up with some of you!

Jarlaxle, we did the exact route to Florida you are talking about when we went to Daytona at Thanksgiving. Took us about 10 hours drive time.

I am actually cheating and taking the train down. Surprisingly, the cost for 1 car, 2 tickets and 1 small room to sleep in with 2 fold out beds is under $500.00- The train leaves at 4pm and arrives at 9:30 am - I decided to take the train since my daughter and my 1 1/2 yr old grandson will be doing the tour this year.

Taking the yellow Fiero again this year? Or are you running the Packard? :D

The plan is Phil's yellow Fiero. That's the car that started the Power Tour madness We only take my T-top when there is something wrong with the yellow one. Phil loves driving the Packard, but it's driven pretty much just in the New England area. It doesn't get driven much on the highway so driving it on Power Tour would take us forever. Plus, I have packing down to a science in the Fieros..........I wouldn't know what to do with all that packing space if we took the Packard
