  • Mark Martin Museum stop

This is can be done. It's a 2 hr. run from Little Rock to Batesville and a 2-1/2 hr. run from Batesville to Memphis picking up the PT route on US 64 into Memphis. So if you leave Little Rock say @ 8A.M. arrive around 10:A.M. stick around till noon, have lunch you can be in Memphis by 3:30 - 4:P.M.
    What say yall.....

I'd love to do this, but don't want to hit Memphis that late..........traffic and the interstate system in Memphis is terrible. I'm wondering if we could leave a little earlier and maybe not need 2 hours there? We don't know about a lunch planned there, do we ? I think there's someone on Bangshift that lives near there.............

This is the thread that was originally started on this

So has anyone been to the museum before? I'm thinking it will probably not take an hour to see..........Anyone want to check out the operating hours?

We have been before. It will take about an hour, if that long.

Sorry, I can't help you. There are some ladies from this area on Facebook Hot Rod Power Tour and this forum. I'm not familar with that area, only been there one time.

Definitely watch your speed around Parkin, AR. It's on 64 going toward Memphis. Speed trap.

Hours are 8-5 thru the week. And about the time spent n there...Im not real sure. Sum people take 30mins and some people take less. Depends if they're M Martin fans. Our whole dealership is a museum as well. We have atleadt 10 show cars. And 6 of them are n the museum with touchscreen monitors that tell about the car.(this is copied from a friend that works at MM Ford)

So, if some of you are interested in doing this Tuesday morning on the way to Memphis, let me know. If not, I'll stick with the prescribed route!

Leaning toward doing this Tuesday too. Thinking blow up to Batesville and then over to Memphis just using most direct routes, the google time for doing that is less than the official route time. So still won't get to Memphis too late even if we spent an hour there.
