Interesting post on the dry sump. What does a two stage cost? I've even looked at trying a differential pump and an external regulator.
Our 2.3 Ford OHC engines are cursed with a weak oil drive system that constantly shears gears. With our lightened flywheel and 5.5 inch clutch it revs like a chainsaw and the oiling system can't take it. We just got throug cryo'ing a new shaft and gear, hoping that will fix the problem, plus we've installed a block and oil warmer to make sure the oil is thin before we go out.
The ultimate fix is to dump the stock system and find something that is still class legal. It pisses me off that the sanctioning body thinks they're saving money by banning dry sumps. Instead I get to frag engines.
