Anyone have any luck booking rooms for speed week - we seem to keep getting the run around..

We've got a confirmed room for Bonneville. Going to be working the course this year again, only bringing the sun shade this year.

I'll be volunteering (Impound) and SCTA handles the room thing. At least I THINK they will - still waiting for confirmation. I had a heck of a time getting a room in '09 but it worked out eventually. This is kind of a standard deal - no one will commit for your room, the bookings solidify, and, if you're in early, you get a room.

Doug - look me up! I'll be in Impound with Dan Warner (Impound will be All Dan this year) so I'll be easy to find. I'd love to hang with you. Drag Gene along if you can. The guys at The Bend In The Road seem to have a lot of fun but I don't DO roughing it.

YEAH!!!!! I wasn't quite sure what "on the list" meant - evidently, I'm in tall cotton (it's a Southern expression). Time to book the flight and get the rent-a-junker lined up. Looks like I'll be flying in from Detroit as we'll be visiting the Grandsons.

Does this mean we're trailer trash now? I don't have a pair of cowboy boots but I DO have a pick up.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm so new at this that I don't even know what I don't know.

As part of a family vacation in the Rockies, I made a deal with mrs arrowhead for 2 days at Bonneville, Sunday 8/14 and Monday 8/15. I would be looking for lodging Saturday & Sunday night (just me). As many of you know, there currently are no rooms available in Wendover those nights. Otherwise, I will likely be camping in the SUV rental on BLM property
