    Who was there

I was there and so very fortunate to be the first participate to oficially go down the track in my black Silverado truck and met a goal I had set for myself to run over 130 mph, first run 132.247, second at 133.806 almost 134 mph in a 5600 lb. truck. Increase of seven mph over my record setting speed in Oct. at Maxton. fifteen months ago I was in a wheel chair and could not feed myself and Doctors said I would never get any better.
Magnificiant job by ECTA officials, volunteers, participants all at a new venue with an overload field and terrible weather. Did anyone besides me have to really drive your vehicle down the track early on Sat. my truck was all over the lane, no trouble to controll but had to make constant corrections.
Keith thamks for letting me ride along with you Friday during the rookie orientation meeting.
Do you know what month issue that Hot Rod's coverage of the challenge will be in?

Mike once again congrats on the 2nd win! Garrell I watched your pass but never got a chance to meet you, I think anyway. Definately a good time as allways and I got to watch Hendersons Jaguar make it in the 2 club finally

Terry - How did the new car run? Not expecting it to be up to its full potential on the first outing but I hope all went well.

Did Ed Brace get in any runs? Looked like he was having "issues".

I got to say hi to a bunch of BSers at the track but that was about it. Except the fabulous dinner at Ohio's best buffet!!! And trading beers with Russell. And having Steve rescue my damp ass with the best coffee ever (no seriously that cold and wet it was the best coffee ever) Turk giving guided track all access tours to any vagrant that wanted a ride..... ah good times

Well I have stopped buying stuff for cars I don't own. Is that a step in the right or wrong direction?

Paul - sorry I missed you. I spent most of the weekend trying to thaw out - I don't do cold weather well post-heart attack. The Ranchero sounded great and congratulations on the new track record!
