Some cars don't respond to those changes like others.

It's a big deal to moparman63 and I because we normally see DA's in the 6500-6900' range!!!!!

Seems the cars that are going from high elevation to lower elevation, really never see what they expect. Your engines are underheaded on purpose up there.......because of the bad air..........down here they go into choke.

Hey, I'm at sea level, and through the winter we see mineshaft air!

Don't you remember DW last year when everyone was looking at their time slips in Amarillo wondering where they lost 0.5 sec from the day before?

I talked to plenty of guys that were!

**nevermind** I see what you are sayin'.

Right.........exactly.........I am not disagreeing. The change depends on where the engine was built. To run in the DA that you run in, my engine would need considerably less head. I lost .7 in Amarillo. In order to be optimal at your elevation, you need less cylinder head to keep airspeed up. When you come down to sea level, you will not see the gain that you think you will...........your cylinder head will be too small, and go into choke early. How do you fit 10lbs of shit in a 5lb box?

An engine built to operate at sea level will be over headed at 5000ft. The same goes for you guys........and engine built at elevation, will be under headed at Sea Level..............catch my drift?
