Just wondering, have you called GM Customer Service about this dealership and what's going on with your car??

on number 4 in your list i have actualy asked the customer to demonstrate an issue for me if i was not able to reproduce it. especialy on noise complaints even take out a vehicle on the lot some times to compare to see if it's a normal noise or not

GM cusstomer service is the problem. If I took it to my friend who has a shop, it'd have been fixed the first time.

Sooooo.... as we know I have a rental car. And, according to the dealership, they wanted to put me in another car. I stated some static about that

so they put me in a Volt

how many would like to see a 4 wheel drift in a Volt?

beat, no. drive to its nominal limits... yep. If you need instructions, please refer to the videos of Brian and Chad with rental cars.

I'm still chuckling at this - instead of a GTO, I get an electric car..... it's really just too funny

it's with regret that I inform you that burnouts are not possible with a Volt. rear slides, yes, but no burnouts....

                Update to the soap opera.

Today they tried to put the newly rebuilt differential in the car. The yoke was wrong, it's on its way back to G-Force. According to G-force they rebuilt a different differential.... so I learned something new - that there are different size yokes on the IRS in a GTO.... So let's see - that means I've not had my car since February 15th...

oh, and the 3rd/4th sychro was bad... it didn't even have 8k miles on it since the last "rebuild". Anyone want to guess how long before the transmission eats another synchro? (no fair guessing "you'll never drive that car again because it's now a permanent shop fixture").

you will not even make it out of the parking lot before the trans just lets go

also that car is now a permanent monument for that shop

I just drive my Fords. I kinda like it. The techs, who last touched a Ford of mine in ... hell, I can't remember. Something like 1992. They failed replacing the broken thing with another broken thing. You know what I really like about the Fords? I haven't HAD to take one in since. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

I'm liking the Toploader 3 speed plan better all the time.

SBG - they have these Mustang thingies now. S.Blogspot can tell you about them... zooooooooooooooom.

This story, I'm not sure how it makes me feel. Sometimes, I tire of it. It makes me weary. If it makes it past where my crappy DW ride starts, I'll call GM for you and explain why a guy who adored the bowtie for 30 years got a BLUE transfusion and hasn't cried many tears since. I applaud your patience I guess. I would have traded it after launching on the foodchain at GM. You know how to get up that food chain and those guys do NOT like it when you do. That was my memory of my last GM - they made it right after they destroyed my consumer confidence and lost my customer loyalty.

Over here on the dark side, mmmm, life is GOOD!

*snicker* Beags I may be desparate, but not suicidal - I hate to remind you of this buuuutttttttt, your DD is a Chevrolet, and all of your projects are Fords

plus, I still consider this car an import. And we all know my undying love of imports...

Nah, my DD is an 08 Escape (Mazda, a loveable 3k pound turd with 2.3/5spd) or a 95 Lightning .. sometimes I drive the diesel. The Chevrolet (s10) is Dad's. Monica has a Vue, but that came with Monica, so I don't count it. Hell, it's a Honda motored GM I think.

My next DD will be a fat by large Lincoln! Coming soon to an impound lot near wherever I get pulled over in it.

I'm ready for the damn import to be out of the shop... you definitely have more patience than I do with retailers.

Patience. No. Tomorrow I'm going to track down the dealership's GM and have a heart-to-heart discussion.

when I worked as a manager of an auto rental company - the entire company had a celebration when the last K-car in the fleet was removed. I know you might find this hard to believe, but they were not good rental cars.

I thought the K-Cars were the reigning champs of the Rental Car Grand Nationals? Some mag guys back when had a great push-o-war with them.

The Vue's 3.5 looks suspiciously like a Honda mill. It's an 06 I think. Not sure. It's a comfy appliance for mama to drive and not work on.

                                Good luck with the conversation!
