The 1967 Wagon Queen Family Truckster! ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wagon_Q...mily_Truckster)
How on earth did Clark Griswold miss out on that one?

Of course if you had a couple of spare Allison V1710 V12s lying around (http://www.hotrodhotline.com/pr/2009/09greenmonster/) . . . or a TV Tommy Ivo's Showboat quantity of big blocks (http://www.flickr.com/photos/tom-margie/1171388276/) . . . that rig might make the foundation for the sickest mid-engined "gasser" ever!

And if you didn't want to jack it sky-high on a beam or tube front axle, you could plop an GMC blower on the 455 and leave it powering the nose, just like the Hairy Hurst Olds! (http://www.oldsclub.org/JWO/TheHairy...hurst_olds.htm)

And with ~ 5000 h.p., that thing might even get down the strip before sundown . . . .

Of course because I remember when these "airport limos" were still in service and I figure some kid in the 22nd Century needs to see this freak in its original infamy, I'd probably just wimp out with a safe date-code resto

Perhaps the inspiration for the 6 wheel GMC motorhomes of the 1970's. Those were Toronado drivelines. They also had all drum brakes and they stopped well.

Now would GM borrow ideas from a bankrupt little company from Arkansas . . . . ;D

Here's another possible source of inspiration for the GMC motorhome http://www.corvaircorsa.com/ultra.html

            That's not a limo - it's a bus!

But Papa Speedzzter explained to my "young skull full of mush" back in the '60s that they can charge a higher fare if they call it a "limo." (That was right before he told me I couldn't go for a ride in one. )

I sent a message to the owner of that car. Here is my question:

                  Dear oi812,

Was Colgate University one of the previous owners? I remember them having a red one and I see some red paint under the blue.

                  Here is the answer:

I'm sorry the auction is presently over. you did not bid on the car. so I guess you will never find out.

                  - oi812

That was totally uncalled for. What if I was going to bid on a relisting? What a tool!
