Re: Site of the Week: How to Do a Burnout Wiki!
I'm going to try and get through it but i'm already confused about step 1.
Step: 1 Find out if you have a front wheel drive (FWD) or a rear wheel drive (RWD) car.
For real if this isn't something your aware of, maybe you shouldn't be doing it :
good stuff good stuff.

Re: Site of the Week: How to Do a Burnout Wiki!
Sorry man i HAD to stop, Re-read this and tell when the car actully starts the "Burnout"
Front Wheel Drive Cars
1. Put the car in first gear.
2. Hold in the clutch.
3. Rev. the engine.
4. Pull on the handbrake. Alternatively, you can skip this step.
5. Do not release the clutch.
6. Move the handbrake up and down to control the burnout.
7. To stop the burnout ease off the accelerator and free the brake.

...serves no useful purpose
EXCEPT:
provide ear to ear grins of teenagers
provide yet another reason to import drivers why they suck
provide useful mosquito killing services
provide a safe method for disposing of tires by removing excess rubber
and?
Doing it all wrong since 1966

Re: Site of the Week: How to Do a Burnout Wiki!
Well, now my life is complete, I think I'll try my first burn out. I'm going to start by not releasing my clutch
They should have also covered some of the finer points:
Burning out in old dump trucks
Burning out at stop lights when friends are behind you, so they too can waft the lovely burnt rubber cloud
Spare/doughnut tire burn outs (just something to boost your mood after you change a flat tire)
Doing doughnuts in parking lots and getting out before security catches you

Re: Site of the Week: How to Do a Burnout Wiki!
Huh? Do not release the clutch? I can hold in my clutch and rev the engine all day and nothing happens. I think they are missing some steps.
FWD cars:
1. Set the ebrake
2. Put it in first
3. Tach it up
4. Dump the clutch
5. Replace tires and clutch
