Too freakin' cool!
better? ;D
Well for what its worth...... Two weeks ago was our first outing in our new 225" FED at the Bowling Green nostalgia nationals. The engine is a 358" Engler mechanical fuel injected P7 on alcohol. Only got to make three passes due to weather but the little engine went a 7.68 @172. We are planning to make a cam change and do some additional dyno work in the next month so hopefully it will pep the lil small block up some more. We are new to the whole nostalgia deal and have lots to learn on tuning but it will come. I totally feel that 20's are achieveable but only time will tell.
Basic P7..... 3.25 stroke 4.195 bore
GRP aluminum rods, 15.2 compression, Engler 3" mechanical fuel injection, a few little tweaks here and there, Gotta make a cam change and some dyno tuning but all in all a great little engine with lots of potential!!!
keep in mind the converter flashes 500 above peak torque (8300) thus it never sees any midrange numbers....shifting at 9900-10000. We are members of the Nostalgia Pro Comp Association so the zoomies fit the personality of the car and the series.
1.10...60ft
3.14...330
4.84...1/8
