    Lawn Mower

Should this be here or in the technical section? Im not sure.anyhow Im gonna really smash this freakin thing >.I can get it to run on a squirt of carb cleaner for a second then it dies. I took off the bowl there was nothing in it (no sediment)I sprayed some carb cleaner in the little jet what the hell else can it be? this is the second time I am gonna have to take it apart (the carb) and the last too. Its a tecumseh motor on a craftsman mower deck.

classic problem..... take the carb apart, take the rubber bits out, put it in carb cleaner overnight, reassemble..... I had a lawn mower that I did that to it every year.... the fuel circuit/idle circuit plugs easily. After the first disassemble, it comes apart easily and you don't need to buy the bowl gasket (you'll never have to buy it if you are careful the first time and have a bit of luck on your side).

Don't be afraid to use a little steel wool to scrub the crap out either....I do this yearly to the Briggs on the Mini-bike.

Shitty gas can be the root cause of a lot of problems as well. My old Briggs in the Wheel Horse was acting like yours for a while and I drained the gas tank, cleaned the hell out of the carb and it ran like a top after that.

The passages in those carbs are so small it takes almost nothing to make them not work. Lots of cleaning.
