Last time I did this it was for Beaux The Dog, who seems to be living out his remaining days in comfort - however many of those days there are. So all your well wishes evidently are working (along with Dr. Bradler's good medicine).
Now it's a bit more critical - and I'm sorry if I'm a downer here. We (the family and Mom) learned this week that she has cancer in her abdomen. She's going to the oncologist tomorrow and we'll have a much better idea of what's next. She's been in a lot of pain for a month or so and it's almost a relief to know what's wrong. Most likely they'll do low-dose chemo in an effort to shrink the tumor with minimal distress to her system. At the age of nearly 90 we aren't expecting any miracle cures but we do hope for a remission of the pain she's been having. Whether she has six days, six months, or six years, we want her to feel well. Just like what we want for Beaux.
My Mom is a remarkable woman and all who know her love her - much to her amazement. Thanks for whatever power you can send or channel her way for high quality of life - and thanks for being my friends.
