I like the smell of ATF. But, if I was choosing my top three it would be.

    Tire Smoke
    Nitro
    Loctite

I don't know what it is about Loctite, but it smells damn good.

I like that hot metal smell right after you burn a good weld bead.

Weird thing is, it smells just like electrocautery that surgeon's sometimes use instead of a scalpel. Some people pass out at the smell. 'Course, that smell isn't hot metal, its burnt flesh. Smells the same though.

Or maybe my leg was on fire last time I welded something?
Yes, I'm a CarJunkie... How many times would YOU rebuild the same engine before getting a crate motor?

I'm envisioning a couple of take-outs where things went horribly, but way funny, wrong, from a video-shoot where you explain the magnificent uses of that stuff...!
No fire is involved this time though...

I bought a used '64 Fender Super Reverb amp a year and a half ago. As it warmed up it would smell faintly of cigarettes and beer, and maybe a little whisky. Close your eyes and you were there in a dive bar listening to some cat playing the drag week blues on a beat to hell strat with a lit smoke smoldering by the nut.

I'd call it Old Blues Bar. For her.

I just turned on my amp to let it warm up... now I need a beer.

Do 6L6's smell the same as EL84's?

... not to be confused with the smell of the lounge at the Ramada Inn in Bowling Green. Wowzer...

                          that would be "Dad's Garage"

40 yrs of race gas, paint, grease, oil, old cars, wd-40, pb blaster, and oddly a hint of dryer sheets.....

that there would be a home run.

Actually, I like the Wha Bah Steakhouse... man, there are some fantastic smells coming from that place. The Sunday Night Blues Jam is a good time, too.
