  • What the Helll is Going On, Really?

Yes, there is an ignore button. There's the option where we as surfers can choose to just not click on anything, yes there is.

The reason I'm posting this, I've never... and I've only been around a year and a half or so, I've never seen BangShifters bicker at such a rate as today. Even personal insults and such. That's sure not the big IT, not here.

And again, the reason I'm posting this, Sue Unit is on an entirely different forum as well as this one, and she says the folks there are pissing and fighting and insulting each other this evening, too.

So what gives? I mean REALLY. What???

Not too earth shattering an idea that people argue, right?
That which you manifest is before you.

It's great for me. My composition class is focused on rhetoric right now, so the arguments are giving me great fodder for the studying logos, ethos, and pathos and their application.

Some folks just get off being the eternal negative naysayers...not the first time there has been a flareup between many of us...there are a handful of us that go back 6 or 7 years...from the Hot Rod Magazine forums....It goes in cycles...could be the heat...who knows...

Walt see if you can get into a neurolinguistics class. It's probably not offered. But it's worth it. It's deep. Deeper than the trench in the middle of the ocean. More valuable than anything they sell at the store. Stuff you can use and think about.

I made the same commentary to someone else earlier today - people seem to be mad about just about everything... and they seem most mad at the people who are happiest.

however, I didn't even get a chuckle out of optional right side airbag.... that always gets a laugh *sigh*

But it's just today. What the heck is wrong with TODAY? And it's not just here, by Unit's account. The same thing is happening on her forum as well, and just as puzzling at the same time.

It's the last couple of days. And yes, a lot of people seem extra whipped up, even the usual voices of reason seem on edge.

I try to not make it personal, but I get weary of the same old crap sometimes. I dont get mad at people online, but I will tend to be amused by some and mildly annoyed by others. I dont think there is anything behind it like forces of nature, planets aligning or anything nonsensical like that.

Sometimes a good discussion is healthy, and it also can lead you to learn things you didnt know existed. I dont look at it like an argument. It isnt worth the time to argue over logical fallacies, but occasionally you can find something new, or a new way to look at things because of a question posed by someone else. When its the same old stuff, just rehashed after being addressed already, then it is just time to ignore that part as there is nothing there to improve on.

One thing that is pretty messed up though, is ridiculing or calling someone out on things they cannot change. Things you can change are fair game, but stuff out of your control that just is, well that is too far.

Speaking of what the hell is going on .... Has any one else noticed the clock lately? It may be July 2nd somewhere, but it's quite a ways off the east coast.

It's the damn heat around here. Everyone's getting short tempered and miserable, hopefully, a three day weekend will let them all cool off.

I'm glad I'm not feeling it. I've got enough trouble with a dadgum pair of shoes.
