    Burnout Help!

I have a 2006 gto that has more tire smoking capabilities than are currently being utilized. The problem is I go to college and do not own a oil well so I don't have the luxury of obliterating the new rear tires. I know the bolt pattern is 5x120 so I was wondering if anyone knew of some cars that share the same bolt pattern and are not super expensive. So I could spend $20 bucks on some junkyard smokers and have some fun. I wanna make a great youtube video!

    Help me turn this:

    Into this!!

BMW shares the bolt pattern, and the normal small-sized GM car 5 on 4.75 is really really close (122mm) so you can shop there.... rumor has it that they fit without grinding (as long as they fit over the brake calipers).....

mmm.. 2006 GTO, I have one of those

brakes and offset will be a bigger issue than bolt pattern. i usually get 1 really good long burnout per set of tires. right before i put new ones on. 90k miles and set number 5, yeah i know shitty wear, i drive it hard. speaking of which, i drove mine today. hmmmmmmmm..........ideas..........

mmmm 2006 GTO... I want one of those. I wonder if F body wheels would work with the offset, I know they will clear the brakes.

          the merc has crap tires

thanks for putting ideas in my head lol

on ford rims fit too. so do the older dodges. my parts grand prix currently has a rim from my old 88 Doplomat, the merc, it's spare tire, and the aluminuk spare from a GM U-body van

and the Grand Prix shares the same bolt pattern as the F-body

@SuperBuickGuy I knew about BMW but I can't afford anything with bimmer on it. I'll look into the 5x4.75. I'll probably need at least a 17" wheel to clear the caliper. Maybe I'll get one too see. What does you gto look like?

@ IOWA552SLOW "90k miles and set number 5" This is the reason I need a dedicated set :-P One good long one per set sure not counting all the other small ones.

@Thumpin455 I don't wanna sound like the guy that says my car is the best end of story but its really hard to find a car that is nicer looking, more comfortable, better on gas, and more powerful for under 20k. Its definitely worth the investment. A/C and a 6th gear made it possible for us to do the powertour this year. I keep my eye out for F-Bodys in the junkyard.

@Mater I'll full of ideas and empty on capital >.< I'll look into fords and dodges. What models are they?

I posted a burnout of my truck using up a spare tire on another thread so thats what got me thinking. Thanks for the help! If you have tire in need of melting send them my way!

Looks great! Just something you might want to consider. Look at the RipShift shifter. I have heard many good things about it. My car came with a B&M short throw kit. I bought a hurst ball and shifter rod to make it look like hurst. So you could go that route with the ripshift and have the best of both worlds.

That looks like the GMM ones - wonder if it's the same maker. I find it tough to spend $400 on a shifter when the B&M is $200. Especially since I'm such a clod that putting the gates closer to each other would simply mean more missed shifts.
