....and who is the character on stage (Brett Michaels? I keep hearing that name) the dude in the cowboy hat who is selling his tools and toys from his collection, and he obviously thinks he's God on earth. Holding up guitars, "...and this goes with it - signed by me and actually played on stage."

And a platinum backstage pass to whoever wins the bid...

I'm sorry, I have no use for humans who think they are not human.

Time for bed. Enough car bidding until tomorrow. I can't wait until they sell the Lear Jets. I only want to watch....

You don't recall a hair band from the 80's called Poison?
He was their "singer"... after a fashion....

I wanted his Navigator so bad....I was trying to phone bid but I kept getting a busy signal. A unique opportunity lost ...

Nope, no recall and that explains it. There's a genuine gap in my lifeline from November 77 until January 92. I had a horrible setup at work, which could and should have been a good job without the two individuals I had to work with (and against) and was stuck in an even more nightmarish marriage. Hated to go to work and hated to go home. I kept my head inside my butt for that whole time period. No recall, because I don't want to recall any of it. The only thing I do remember is about 10 seconds at work one night when it fell on me - these days that I am living cannot possibly count against my total allotment of time on earth. They can't . If they do, it's just not fair. No way these days count, because I'm not living.

All that to say, I missed the 80's. Sure did. All of it.

So, what did I miss in the 80's now that I'm way decades clear of all the misery and self-pity? I'm glad I missed the cowboy hat dude in his prime. I'll bet he was "great!"

Well, I never thought a lot of him, peewee.
But if you want to check out his former glories... there's always YouTube.

Since I missed it in real time, I think I'll pass. Saw enough of him at the car auction. I'm a master of errant pre-conceived notions, but I don't think that's a guy I want to drink beer and shoot pool with. I'm not worthy, and neither are the rest of us.

I really don't know why anyone would take a car there no reserve. That's just total insanity. Did you see that pair of Mopar pilot cars? A '70 Coronet R/T convertible 440 Six Pack, with a 4-speed, AND a '71 GTX 426 Hemi, together, for $115K. That's insane. He could have done better than that on eBay for one of those.

Then an Eleanor Mustang goes for $220K. You could get a real Shelby GT500 for that.

                      I just don't get it.

Those Mopars were the deal of the show. I bet the owner is pissed. Craig Jackson was up on the mic saying that the people were under bidding the cars, and as usual, he was ignored.

I think that people are actually paying what they are actually worth, not some overinflated price because Jackson or anyother fool says they are worth more. That's the best part about no reserve- you get to find out what your junk is worth on any given day, wrong crowd, low price.
