My barn is a leaky mess with slider doors, but 185,000 btu waste oil furnace makes up for it.... I shudder to think what it would cost to heat with natural gas or propane. I have ~8" of icynene foam sprayed against the under side of the roof, and 2" foam board on most of the walls. I used spray on car undercoating to seal the metal panel seams from the inside as I was putting up the 2" foam, who knows if it helped much but it seemed like a good idea.Last edited by TC; August 2, 2012, 05:36 PM.

I had a friend use the spray in foam insulation, he got lucky and they sprayed it twice as thick as they were supposed to- lucky SOB! I'm gonna use fiberglass mat insulation in the walls and also use a vapor barrier. I can't afford the spray in with all of the other things I need done still.Nick Smithberg

Month of July was .01 total measureable rainfall in Omaha - yes - that is 1/100th. of an INCH.
There was 1.10 inches in the rain gauge - in 30 minutes we got 110 times what we had gotten all the last 40 days or so.Last edited by 70chevyC-10; August 9, 2012, 04:55 AM.Phil / Omaha
