my buddy had the owner of a local parts store hit him up yesterday, he knew he bought lots of performance parts, and told him he had an "old cam and lifters" that he wold cut him a deal on. he went and
looked and it was a brand new comp 270h and lifters!
$50 bucks paid for it so...... I paid $50 bucks to him because he didnt need it now its MINE Yay!!!!!
I can afford to keep this one
270h
perfect for a stock converter
those cams are in richie's 283 in the 57 convertible and the 350 in the mercury
the cam in the 57 is 24 years old
the cam in the merc is 17 years old
the blue olds, got some old school double hump heads, used, with 2.02 and 1.60 valves, screw in studs and guideplates for a $150 a while back and the cam for $50 last night hopefully soon my 355 can turn enough rpms to go past the 1000 ft mark.

I have had good luck with comp, and I love that grind too Jim
I was given a 280H.. Used.. No lifters or anything... Put it away for a project some day... Cam went out in my work truck.. January, no work..also my daily driver so... I put it in with new lifters... Didn't do bad.. Just when it came alive, I had to shift.. 250,000 mile motor doesnt need over 4500 rpms.. Anything under 1200 rpm's didnt do too good either in the 6300 lb flatbed
