    earthquake new england

sitting here, monitor going back and forth...a few seconds.
the manhole getting slammed on the street does not do that.
then a rumble of thunderous noise. looking up on the web, I got there before the news..but the 4.5 in southern maine was the answer.
    7:12 pm

brian in the neighborhood to feel it?
news said boston felt it too..
my brother is ten miles from epicenter..awaiting a call.

I had just got back from the store in the old sube and sat down at my pc.

quiet down the old subes exhaust and it shakes new england. I wish the inspectors would leave my car alone. better let this one leak at the bellmouth.

the jokes began when I was making a wheel well that sounded like the independence bell. My hammer and welding, echoing...for some odd reason the noise disappeared while hammering, 3 strokes..no noise. A mystery enough I stopped what I was doing and looked around. weird event. The thundering echo silented. pennsylvania quaked to the moment, I learned later that day..

Weird as hell!!! We felt it here, whole house shimmied and shook for a few seconds. People in RI felt it, too. Never felt anything like it before.
That which you manifest is before you.

        No Shit?!?!?!

I was sitting here in work and around that time I thought I felt an excessive vibration, but it's hard to tell where I work. I guess this explains it. I'm about 5 miles northeast of Boston, on the coast

it is funny, the prelude to a quake here. car broke header end like it was cast iron a few days ago. the main door to my room suddenly had a bow in the sill yesterday..
            now its gone.
..and my monitor is leaning to the right. sumbitch.

we're headed for the penobscot river, then the ocean...
            in the house.

I'm from Florida. When I was stationed out in 29 Palms, CA I felt a couple of the smaller ones. Very strange sensation. The "big one" that hit Yucca Valley during my stay out there around '93 - I missed. I was on my way back from Tijuana and didn't feel a thing in the truck I was in.

reading up on history of all quakes recorded.
4 and above is big here.

there is recordings that caused a tsunami off of newfoundland, ground felt all the way to virginia, into quebec..
                    one quake.
                    5. something

the shallow sea shelf is probably an indication, northeast coast.

                    a mover..
another thing is that arctic tundra theory. the coastals hang onto waters temps way into october. when nature decides the north wind is ready to come down, the ground snaps..shallow.
also october is a never ending rumble unfelt to most, autumn foliage is growth stopped, its like land shrinking.

Add me to the list of people who grew up not feeling an earthquake, then moving out to SoCal and freaking out at the smallest tremor. lol.

I bet there are a lot of freaked people up in New England. Barry and Brian, glad to hear you guys are ok.
