      people do it. so that those looking for a car, see it and might know a buddy that's looking for it.. same with whole cars in the parts area.. this is selling 101.. and when tha ad's are free. why the hell not..
      want no nosense car ads pay for a hemmings yearly subscription..
      looking through free ads, well, you got want you payed for..

        a CL rant? No way.

        1$

        dealer ads in the "by owner" section make we want to write a flagging macro.

        no contact information

        people who don't delete their ads when it's sold

        people who call and ask if it's still for sale

        people who never respond

        overposting programs (same thing 87 times, multiple sections)

        keyword whores

        On the other hand, I've gotten a few more good deals than the few flake jobs I've tried to work with. My favorite was a "roller" mustang that would have taken several hours to make "rollable" - NOTHING attached to the unit.
