Everytime I see or hear about that stupid-ass show - I get pissed. Those jackasses thrashed something like +300 Chargers. Morons.

Was a fun show. If it had have been 74 novas nobody would be crying. To those with chargers, they're worth more and more popular. That may have saved more than they took out.

Even when the show was airing, when they did a stunt, I could only think, "There's no way that would have happened." So it was meant to be campy and it was. But there's a guy where I work, he laughs so exactly like Rosco P Coltrane. Exactly, exactly. The, "Geek geek geek geek" laugh. Exactly. Uncanny.

I feel the same. I took on welding of a unibody. Alot of pain..no glory but your own.

That particular show, I was a very young kid in massachussetts. The neighborhood was quite a melting pot.

I made friends with a hispanic (? ethnic somebody) boy, we rode bicycles together. Well, before ya know it, there is me, my brother, sister, (both younger) and this boys giant family (all siblings). Must have been 8 or ten kids glued to the very first episode.

We, the oldest boys liked it the most of course. That show stuck for years....and years.

As a dyed in the wool GM purist, I must say that the Charger of that vintage holds a soft spot in my heart... I really feel sorry for the Mopar fellas every time i think of the Dukes of Hazzard or Bullet, or even the Fast series of moves... but it builds the Mopar fan base nonetheless...

68 and 69 Chargers were really good sellers. A popular budget musclecar with a decent price and lots of back seat room. Tons of 318 and automatics. Two door Coronets are a lot more rare. A common urban myth back then was all cars could peg a speedo given enough road so the 160 MPH jobbie in all Chargers was a big selling point.

Thank the Lord the Dukes didn't favor E-Bodies!

Good point, the speedometer. Red's got one that goes to 140, and in reality that's just about right. If you're going any faster than that you'd better not be looking at it anyhow.

90,000 plus for '68 and '69. Also remember there was no Challenger until '70 so the Charger was "Top Gun" for a Dodge Dealer.
