Even when the show was airing, when they did a stunt, I could only think, "There's no way that would have happened." So it was meant to be campy and it was. But there's a guy where I work, he laughs so exactly like Rosco P Coltrane. Exactly, exactly. The, "Geek geek geek geek" laugh. Exactly. Uncanny.Charter member of the Turd Nuggets

That particular show, I was a very young kid in massachussetts. The neighborhood was quite a melting pot.
I made friends with a hispanic (? ethnic somebody) boy, we rode bicycles together. Well, before ya know it, there is me, my brother, sister, (both younger) and this boys giant family (all siblings). Must have been 8 or ten kids glued to the very first episode.
We, the oldest boys liked it the most of course. That show stuck for years....and years.Previously boxer3main

As a dyed in the wool GM purist, I must say that the Charger of that vintage holds a soft spot in my heart... I really feel sorry for the Mopar fellas every time i think of the Dukes of Hazzard or Bullet, or even the Fast series of moves... but it builds the Mopar fan base nonetheless...Patrick & Tammy

68 and 69 Chargers were really good sellers. A popular budget musclecar with a decent price and lots of back seat room. Tons of 318 and automatics. Two door Coronets are a lot more rare. A common urban myth back then was all cars could peg a speedo given enough road so the 160 MPH jobbie in all Chargers was a big selling point.
Thank the Lord the Dukes didn't favor E-Bodies!Last edited by RockJustRock; December 23, 2013, 12:50 PM.My hobby is needing a hobby.
