Super Stockers in the lanes at Maple Grove during a WCS meet sometime in the mid 70's...
PRICELESS! That'd be a cool poster
Joe, was that taken from the old bridge, or the tower. I miss the bridge, used to love standing on it opening weekend and smelling race fuel and tire smoke in the morning. The smell of spring!

Yeah, at the top of the stepson the bridge near the tower! As a kid I loved standing there as the burn out smoke would engulf the bridge and it would vibrate from the cars below. My favorite spot though was under the bridge on the wall right next to the old bleach box. About 10 feet from the burn outs and a direct line of sight to the starting line. Great stuff...
This car is bent the longway, diagonal. The roof strangely stayed straight, all glass. Doors gave a hint of the twist. The drivers seat sits lower than the passenger, a very very striaghtlined beaming type hit. if this were into a wall, the engine would be underneath the car. and most likely a grotesque mess to pickup inside.
