Dave is/was a nuke sub guy like you. He went to the naval academy and got his degree as an engineer, I am currently blanking on the specific field, but he spent all of his time on submarines...until they sent him to Bagdad. I guess his sub was to be laid up in dry dock for upgrades/modifications.
He is a hilarious guy. I'll post an excerpt of the e-mail he sent with the photos:
" I should be on my way back out here in the next day or so. It is not easy building a nation while keeping the sea lanes of democracy open."
"With any luck I may be home for Thanksgiving.
Well, that is really all I have to report and I have to get back to defending democracy"
