Extending a passport is no big deal to do overhere.
But today I went to the machine-shop to pick up an engine block which has been machined for my next project.
So my wallet says I "Ain't going nowhere anytime soon" ;)
I want to beat this guys record of 49 MPH for a electric powered motorcycle...............maybe a Bangshift forum freak vehicle.
I have a two motorcycle frames Suzuki trials bike, Kawosucki 175 Enduro Bike, anyone have a motor, battery, design?
Here is a video of the 199 MPH run in the '67 Camaro at the last meet.
The motor is a 427 SBC with SB2 heads and a 150 shot of nitrous.
.. hit the HD button on the bottom right side of the video to watch in high definition.
I'm headed out after dinner to unload the Camaro and start the engine swap. New engine is on the stand and awaiting teardown. Lots of parts swapping to do - head, cam & lifters, etc. I 'm trying to decide if I should run the bottom end as/is or Plastigage the bearings and inspect carefully. Jay says it was a fine runner and I'm trying to go fast and cheap, but I don't want to regret not performing some simple checks. If I have to swap the pan (I don't think I will) that will make the decision for me. New front and rear seals? See where this is going?
The goal is to make the next meet and actually go down the track.
Due to an unscrupulous racer with little or no integrity at the April meet, who peeled the helmet inspection sticker from a certified helmet and reattached it to a helmet that did not meet the safety requirements, we will start using tamper-proof helmet stickers. So make sure your helmet is a full-face helmet with face shield with a Snell Foundation tag reading M2000 or SA2000 certified or you will not be able to use it.
Looking for the helmet tag is one of the many things we look for on the Starting Line, before we wave them off on a run. Remember, these precautions are for your safety, not to keep you from racing.
Be Safe, Go Fast, Have Fun !!
