Had to make a block off plate and add a pin higher on the brake pedal for the Ranger manual m/c to fit.

Sure frees up a lot of room.

I had to convert Mutt the Race Truck to manual - no vacuum with the Diesel. They work fine.

Installed. It just barely clears the bellhousing but I don't expect that to be a problem. This makes the transmission crossmember the lowest hanging part now.

New crossmember to replace the un-used radius arm crossmember.

All the holes I cut for the rollcage are sealed up, even the one for the driver's side a-pillar subframe tie-in. It's hard to get excited about little stuff like this, but it has to be done!

Took a break from the Galaxie to do a little work on the Ranger. I started making and installing sheet metal pieces to close up the holes in the cab floor.

Sometimes you just have to give it a Break.
Stepping back, and looking at the Battle from a Distance you can see a totally different picture.

I modified the driver's side turbo mount so that the 1/2" flange mounts to the inside, just like the passenger side does. The fact that they were different was driving me nuts. Haha.

I'm kinda dragging on this thing. Not thinking as far ahead as I normally do. I got out to the shop with no idea what I need to get done. Gotta get back on top of it! The winter doldrums!

Turbo mounts are done! Passenger side went in as expected, but the driver's side was different because I forgot that the turbine inlet was going to be flipped. So it was higher in the chassis and required a slightly different mount.

Wow I downloaded the Terminator X app to my phone. Holley is really doing things right. Being able to adjust things right off the phone via Bluetooth is super helpful. That's one of the reasons I always liked my Megasquirts... That is, until MSDroid stopped being updated.

It's going to be nice using an EFI system that is drag race oriented out of the box and operates in terminology that is easily understood. FYI I bought a Terminator X Universal for Ford (PN: 550-937) .

I actually worked on the truck yesterday. haha. I welded the front brake line tabs to the front clip. I tried to make a video but ended up with mic problems and terrible video angles so I scrapped it.

Been thinking about what efi system to use in this thing and I think I have finally decided on using a Holley Terminator X. I considered using some sort of a Megasquirt variant, like a MS3 Gold Lite from EFi Source or something similar. The Gold Lite looks like a nice piece and would likely be an excellent choice for a plug-n-play setup. However, this is no where near a plug-n-play situation. The Terminator X kit includes a lot of features that would be add-ons to the Gold Lite. Built-in wideband, wiring harness, and touch screen are the most notable features, but probably the best is the ability of the TermX to use a Holley or MSD dual sync distributor for crank and cam positions. The Gold Lite would require me to fabricate position sensors to fill these roles.

The other feature that is very appealing is the overwhelming popularity of Holley EFI. At any event, there are plenty of people that know the system inside and out and can provide tuning or technical assistance if necessary. They are currently on sale, so I might pick one up through Speedway Motors. Speedway gives you points toward future purchases so I can use those points to save even more money on a dual sync distributor. Whoo hoo.

It will probably be flipped over where the hose connections are on the bottom side.

I love that it has corner angle braces to keep the whole deal square. I dunno if they're necessary but I wish mine had them.
