I've always liked the 71 - 73 body style. Not quite as cookie cutter as the 70 & down yet parts are still in abundance and therefore dirt cheap. Like the way they handle too, big improvement over the older Mustangs.
I have my eye out for a dirt cheap drivetrain just in case the car doesn't sell. Just waiting for the right one to come along then the car won't be for sale.

I think I've seen your car on the LV CL. Since it's already set up for a 302 ever thought about putting the drivetrain from a fox body mustang in it? Convertible 5.0s seem to pop up quite a bit on the cheap.

That would be perfect. Something with a roller cam and one piece rear main seal.
