Sits a Mustang that simply refuses to die.

what actually does die in 120 degree sun 375 days a year?

I'd love to see one of those again. Big chassis can do anything.

I've always liked the 71 - 73 body style. Not quite as cookie cutter as the 70 & down yet parts are still in abundance and therefore dirt cheap. Like the way they handle too, big improvement over the older Mustangs.

        That is beautiful. Nice metal.

We have old friends with one of those, convertible, and they had a hardtop for years. Sweet car, love the interior.

It does need a little metal work but I don't really care at this point. The big goal right now is to get the car stripped and in primer.

I'll bet the rubber is fried but other than that it looks GREAT! Best of luck and have fun.

              A little primer.

Still need to strip the roof & hood but the car looks much more presentable.

So I put it up for sale...

It's one of those whatever sells sells things.

This is exactly why I don't like to start these types of threads.

I have my eye out for a dirt cheap drivetrain just in case the car doesn't sell. Just waiting for the right one to come along then the car won't be for sale.

Milner knows where to get the Ford stuff. He'll round up an FE and C6 (or manual of your choice) in no time. Then it's just shipping - check with Fastenal.

The cool thing about selling cars you don't mind keeping is it doesn't matter either way. These Fastbacks are getting very hard to find on the cheap.

P.S. My drivetrain is sitting right here: Starski and Hutch car anyone? (Golden Valley AZ.)

I just don't care for modified 400s and the Mustang exhaust system is already set up for a 302.

I think I've seen your car on the LV CL. Since it's already set up for a 302 ever thought about putting the drivetrain from a fox body mustang in it? Convertible 5.0s seem to pop up quite a bit on the cheap.

That would be perfect. Something with a roller cam and one piece rear main seal.
