  • 68 Plymouth Valiant

Here's my car . I was heavily influenced by CC in the late 90's. My favorite was the orange Duster. Originally a slant6/3spd, I moved to a 318/904. Now the car has a 360/727. I have also installed a 8 3/4 with 3.23s with a sure-grip. I plan to put the headers on and clean-up more in the engine bay this weekend.

Does anybody know of a good company to buy fiberglass hoods from? The air cleaner sits a little higher on the 360 and interferes with the hood. I would like a bolt on fiberglass unit with a hemi hoodscope.

I bought the car in 1996 when I was 16. I'll have to scan some of the old photos and post them one day.

Looks great! Have you tried using a drop base air cleaner? I've heard good things about aarqualityfiberglass.com but for whatever reason they only list the hoods as fitting 69-72 and I didn't think the 67 or 68 hoods were any different at all.

I actually prefer Valiants to Dusters (but like 'em both). Nice ride! No clue on the hood, though.

Looks very tough and business like with that paint colour and the wide steelies. I'd suggest trying to find a way to keep the stock hood though, for appearance.

Looks great as is . If it were my car I'd build a drop base air cleaner if I had to to keep that flat hood !

That thing is a beaut....I think some type of scoop would add to it as long as its not oo big and obnoxious.
