It worked good until they decided to unhook the passing gear and put on a holley and not worry about it at least for awhile!!!

the linkage on a Mopar trans is not just for passing gear, it's what tells it when to shift....kinda necessary.

A motorhome trans should have reasonable strong parts in it, I mentioned it more as trivia

66-70 B body K members are the same for big and small blocks and I'm pretty sure the '69 C body motor mount brackets are the same as the B body ones (I had a '68 New Yorker and a '68 Coronet both with 440s a while back).

Since you had a 727 in there before, you should just be able to bolt the 383 and tranny in. The C body exhaust manifolds may work but Summit headers are dead cheap and fit reasonably well with a bit of clearancing around the p/s box so I'd go with them.

I just did this swap last spring. As above the k-member and engine brackets will work, mounts are available at NAPA. You will need to use the BB Alt and PS brackets. The manifolds will not, I went with Hedman headers. Just as a note, the 66-72 B body k-member (and 70-74 E body) will interchange all the 8's except Hemi. And I "think" this applies to the 73-74 B body also.

Wow what a mess with the guy who was selling the car with the 383 engine for the swap.
I literally was ordering parts for my 318 while I was listening to the guy on the phone explain about him and the cars situation!
I'm just going to stick with my 318 and build it nice and noisy and drive the heck out of the car when its done.

I got a set of KB pistons 30 over sitting here. I'll sell them cheap.

Thanks for the offer, but I have a set of .030 flatops from the 318 I took out of the car and they are on those floating factory rods.
