Re: Leno - spray on chrome - really?

Spectra Chrome had a cool booth at SEMA with lots of stuff painted in chrome colors including a mud bogger and crotch rocket motorcycle. It is like paint but you basically hose it on and it runs off so you have to have some kind of capture system under the product you're painting. They had a workstation on display and it is also pictured on their website.

Looks like it's a bit pricey to get into it but as Mike said, you can spray it on anything so there are lots of custom applications possible. You can imagine the potential sales once word gets out that your shop has it available.

Ah hydrographics is much different than what I saw. It looks like a very cool process though. Will be doing more research on it. I see there are entry level equipment setups from a company in El Paso.
