From what I've red about Pro-shifting a TKO trans, is it is really only necessary when shifting above 7500rpm. I would not worry about Pro-shifting it unless you notice some short coming that would be solved by it.
    Escaped on a technicality.

Have you driven a car with a TKO yet? They are pretty decent for shifting and I would only pro shift it if drag racing is the only thing you do with the car. But for a racing only combination I probably would have gone with a dog box setup to begin with.

I have had a TKO in this car since mid summer 99. Back then you couldnt buy a TKO for a chevy out of the box, so Jimmy Swarr machined the input , slotted the bottom holes and away we go. went a best of 10.61 @131 with a 1.56 60ft. now the car will be lighter , have a cage and the rear susp sorted out.
I drove my friends pro shifted TKO and loved it, but trying to stay on budget. got a new 600 and just kicking it around.

          Same here.

Too many longevity issues & too high-maintenance for street-use.
