I drove 2162 miles round trip. Great way to break in a fresh engine. $4 plus gas did not help the old budget this year I felt for the guys who had 12-24 hrs + to get home. Hope everybody made it back.

I just got home, and I haven't calibrated my odometer to the GPS readings(of the first 1200 miles) yet, but using last years correction factor I drove 4,278 miles driveway to driveway over 9 days. 22.5 hours home from Tulsa.Last edited by TheSilverBuick; September 16, 2012, 08:44 PM.Escaped on a technicality.

we went just over 2200 playing spectator - the casinos everywhere were not budget friendly. Next year, I'll bring a car... may be cheaper. (insert straight face here)
The humidity had to be playing hell with tunes and I'm not touching the Larson comment - still a little bitter tasting. Tuning 2800-3000 hp in that slop would not be an inviable position.
Did TSB get home okay?
The crazies from Amarillo hacked a broken axle stub off the shop truck and drove it home with the spool turning one side I think!Last edited by Beagle; September 17, 2012, 01:38 AM.Flying south, with a flock of bird dogs.

Got home Mon. around 7 pm, 3,985 mile round trip, no problems, just some rain in FL. The car did great but I'm wipped. Didn't do crap with the car today. Tomorrow I'll get it cleaned up and unloaded.
