  • damn , damn , damn stoopid driveshaft

    ok, i switched transmissions and it looks like my inland empire alum. shaft is gonna be a touch to small thats more cash that i did not plan to spend.
    so what shafts are you guys running , and is yours mild steel, chrome moly are aluminum. 42 diameter and who made it.

    We run a steel shaft from DTS (www.drivetrainspecialists.com). They built our driveshaft and rear end. Its going to be our fifth drag week on these parts and no failures so far.

      Dynotech 4" metal matrix with 1350 u-joints, five Drag Weeks, eight years, no issues.

        $90 NASCAR Busch series take-out driveshaft, 4" diameter, 43" c to c, 1350 u-joints. It was raced in the #36 McGill Motorsports car at Richmond, Darlington and Phoenix in 2007. lol

            mark williams aluminum 4" shaft with the billet yokes, old as dirt, no problems.

                              you can buy longer yokes to make up a 1" but after that I would change shafts
