        My uncle did it once with his 57 Fairlane, he said he'd never do that again. Cheaper and faster to drive around, incredibly boring out in the middle of the lake and they pack the cars on the ferry like sardines.

          nobody is taking the ferry from manitowoc either.

              probably doomed the ferry. the badger ferry is coal fired, one of the last coal fired ferries. epa is on them for dumping ash in lake michigan. costly retrofit to dump the ash on land.

                It wasn't too bad last year. I took it home. They have a small dining area with comfy seats. A movie is playing. You can go up on the top of the ship. I loved it. I threw a DVD in my laptop and ended up sleeping through most of the trip.

                I think it would have been faster to drive home, and cheaper. But it was cool to do once.
