Engine is Terminal in 56, noise is not from valve train.
Will try and put together a 383 so I can do London, Ontario MS Cruise in Sept.

326-Sorry to here that Bob. I'm on day two (of two weeks) of high stress at work. The homeowners decided they are going to start moving in on the 28th of this month, even as they continue to change things :'(.

Bob, that is real tough. You can't have more than 6000 miles (and a few drag runs) on that engine. Please keep us informed of what the problem is. We can all learn from your experience.
Good luck chosing the next engine for that bay. There's a lot to chose from these days at a lot of cost points. Add to that the tranny issue and you've got a major investment coming...

dropped fuilds and staightened the garage to make room for engine removal, will not decide on engine till I tear down 350. Cheapest way out with these 195 afr heads is a forged 383 10.4 compression short block at Jeg's for $2995. I dont have the $ to start on a 427ci and drive HRPT09 with it. Can't beat the low cost on these assemblies.

Had windows tinted on Chevelle, installing line-lock, shifter boot.

Taking Chevelle and not 56 to Syr Nationals is like taking your sister to the Senior Prom.
