Engine is Terminal in 56, noise is not from valve train.
Will try and put together a 383 so I can do London, Ontario MS Cruise in Sept.
Chevelle is drivable for Syr Nationals this weekend.

Sorry to hear that it is terminal - what did you break?

So are you going to change the tranny when you do the 383?
Are you going to go with a glide or one of those "new fangled" overdrive deals?
Pros and cons to both - it is tough building a 1/4 mile car that you drive 4,000 miles during two weeks in the summer each year.
