Patrick already mentioned Speedway Motors. They are probably have the most flathead stuff around. They are also just a few miles from my house & yet seem to send me a catalog or two a week. So if you want one (or two) pm me an address & I will send you some.

that is why i have been told that one of the better mods is a set of Edelbrock or Offenhauser finned aluminum heads...

Could be. This is all new to me. I should be picking up a bunch of parts for it this week. New motor, tranny, front and rear axles with juice brakes. I'm dragging this thing right into 1940's technology.

Thanks for the offer but I get them too. I must have signed up for something on PT.

Yeah - I think that they were on one or two of the stops this year. And once they get your name & address, you're screwed.

Those flatties don't have to be slow! A friend of mine has a pretty large collection of flatheads and a large stash of Ardun stuff. He ran a blown Ardun in his Bonneville 32 roadster and went over 200 with it! Had a couple naturally aspirated Arduns that ran from 175 up to 196 mph. Granted, those aren't street cars, but you're only limited by your imagination, and your checkbook! Can't wait to see how this goes for you, it'll be fun, no matter what!

Yeah, I'll create a project thread once I actually start doing something on the car.

Think there flatty stuff at www.webrodder.com. Back in the 90s StreetRodder had a year long build article by Frank Oddo on the latest (@ the time) build info & parts.
