I know you are going. I read the whole post (and the s10 post that I am totally looking forward to seeing in person) I always do that... forget that there are more people that have the same name than the person I am talking about/to.
Hooser Dan
Well I have stopped buying stuff for cars I don't own. Is that a step in the right or wrong direction?
We heard from Tonya - the Geezers are in. Hoping to do a little Evo hunting....!
Looking for a retired former Champ to listen to Mike Witt and get back into it....

Are you there Mike?
Our best to you.

For the Geezers
Come on Mike don't be a puss!!!! We have not given up yet and our junk barley made a race last year. Your not scared of that red corvette are you!!!! lol
Won't be there with the Hemi car in 2013 but will probably be down to watch in April. Working on a 55 Ford F250 for the 2014 ECTA season!
It was quite a treat to be able to make the 1000 mile trek to Ohio last year in my 55 Chevy. I enjoyed the opportunity to be a volunteer and a first time participant to an ECTA event . . . even have a "Record Holder" crew member T-shirt to validate it !
Wish I could do it again this spring, but I just can't do everything. Good luck Boob, and have fun George, maybe I will be there to see the F250 make it's debut in 14 ?
Mailed in my entry yesterday. For reasons unknown Tonya and I could NOT get the internet to deliver a filled-out form to Enterprise. Don't know if it's a MAC thing, a Roadrunner thing, or what. Anyhow, she says they'll have a different system for next year so hopefully that will resolve itself. I THINK I'm on the list.
Plan to have the S-10 out for it's first outing but if it just isn't going to be ready I'll bring Truck and see if the new trans helps.
Since I'll be back in GA, it's looking better for me to make it. Dan, you still the volunteer guy? Heck, it's even closer by 40 miles than Maxton was.
Nope. Keith took that over when we moved. Give him a buzz or drop an Email - just put your name and/or "Volunteer" in the title so he doesn't put it in Spam. He gets a TON of Email.
Entry registration forms and renewal mailed to Tonya on Jan.24. Motel Reservations optimistically made in Oct. and about 40+ additional hp since last year. Contemplating a new set of 20" tires for lsr, occasionally dragracing, may with some suspension upgrades try a little autocross and track events and still drive on the street on occasion in a 5800 lb. truck. It's making around 445 flywheel hp right now and in Oct. turned 13.80 at fifty one year old Paradise Dragstrip
Obsticalls since last year, pneumonia for five weeks, three light strokes blessedly with no lingering damage and today was my 88 yr. old Dad's 19 day in the hospital with severe heart failure, pneumonia and COPD. He has lost the ability to walk but is too weak for therapy. He is a three time decorated for bravery above and beyond, .30 cal. machine gunner serving in the 10th Mountain Division in Italy during WWll.
Might be out of place here but those of you that believe please remember in your prayers and if not think a good thought for him.
Forgot to ask for any recommendations on the tires, budget is a consideration. Leaning right now for Nitto NT 420S tires, I want a directional pattern. The truck would never be driven in the rain unless just caught on the road on the way to Ohio, never in snow or ice and my goal for Ohio in April is 140 mph. Ran 134 in first run out last April in according to the Wilmington Port authority a 25 mph sustained wind which was hitting me at a left front quartering angle with gust over 34 mph.
I hope the wind and rain will be good to all of us.
No not yet. Still rocking the holy cowl truck. I went to work for a tool company for a couple months and am now back to working for me. I also tore apart my rental house for a remodel. The finances and time budget are a flaming wreck for right now, but that is temporary. I will get the truck going again in time for the meet.
